Platinum is definitely a very interesting alternative to the white gold option. White gold does not exist in nature, reason why it derives from the union between yellow gold and other metals.
This particular metals alloy makes gold clearer, it increases the hardness and the resistance, and it eases the production. However, the colour is still yellowish, not perfectly white and, therefore, shining. For this reason, the rhodium plating process is here applied. This process covers all the jewellery surface with a rhodium layer, which is a noble metal as well, extremely brilliant.
Over the time, the rhodium layer wears out and the wedding bands lose their initial brilliance and the colour tends to turn yellow, for this reason the rhodium plating process will have to be repeated periodically.
When preferring a shiny white color for the wedding bands, platinum could be a really good choice. It is a precious and rare metal, reachable in very few natural deposits; its extraction is very difficult, its making very complex but, at the same time, platinum can offer excellent features:
– it is extremely resistant to most of the acidic substances, and naturally inoxidizable;
– it is pure, in the jewelry production the title is 950;
– it is hypoallergenic;
– it keeps colour and brilliance unchanged over the time;
– it keeps its weight, its volume, and consequently its value, unaltered.
The platinum making is particularly complex in all the steps, as aforementioned, but thanks to our experience with this material we are able to provide for the highest quality standard both for the classic platinum wedding bands and our models with particular works.
Platinum wedding bands are the best representation of love for their purity, brightness, rareness, resistance, value, unchangeability, eternity.
